Avery Elle Blog Hop

Hello friends and welcome to the Avery Elle blog hop featuring the new 2015 CHA release!  Wahoo I'm excited!  I'm so excited about this release that I even created videos for you!
Yay - I hope you like them!

First up, I played with the new Easter Blessings stamp set.
Here's the card I created.
I used Finished Frames and Pinked dies to create the layers.

Here's my video...

Next I heat embossed the stamps on a vellum layer.  I love the softness of this card.

Next up, Furry Friends.  Sigh.  I love Furry Friends.  The pug.
Furry Friends is out of stock at Avery Elle now.  You can find it here instead:
Impress Cards & Crafts
Ellen Hutson LLC
Simon Says Stamp

and many many other stores as well!

Here's my first card.
I used Dotted Borders and the Sorbet Collection to create this card.  The hearts are from More Stories.

Here's the video...

I also created this card by masking!

Last but not least, Ellie!  Goodness I love this set. It's full of things for the little elephant to hold up high.  Eep!
Ellie is out of stock right now at Avery Elle but you can find it in stock here:

I used Dotted Borders and the Sorbet Collection to create this card.

Here I colored these images in with colored pencils and then added paper from The Everyday Collection 6x6 paper pads.

Now that I've held you hostage - it's time to get hopping!

Ellen Hutson Release Hop!

Hello, and welcome to the Winter 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today!

First up - the new Love You So.  Oh my heavens do I love this set!

I used the "I love you more" sentiment and accented it with a heart.  Then, I masked the inside of the heart and added the arrow.  Once I had my stamping done, I added watercolors with my Gansai Tambi watercolors.  This stuff just makes watercoloring so easy!

I had to use this sentiment too.  There was no getting around it and I should add that it might never come off my acrylic block.  I actually think this is perfect for my son.  I stamped the sentiment and crown first and then masked the crown.  Then, I cut hills from masking tape and used my Distress inks (Tumbled Glass and Shabby Shutters) to create the perfect hilly background.

Next up, Bold Blooms

Yes, it's fantastic right.  There are Bold Blooms dies too

I stamped a pretty floral bouquet on a panel that I adhered to a washi tape background. Then, I stamped and die cut another flower and then added it to the top of the stamped bouquet.

Well, I couldn't stop at one.  (And I didn't stop at two either! teeheehee!) So, I stamped and die cut Bold Blooms flowers and leaves again and this time added them to a layer of pattern paper and vellum.

Changing it up from the traditional ideas - I stamped the Bold Blooms images in black onto some watercolor paper and I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors again to create this rainbow masterpiece!

Last but not least I simply HAD to use the new super large heart from the Folk Hearts die set and I knew just what I wanted to do with them.  I had to make it a window for the little (ahem maybe big) Wish Big hippo to peek through!

Now be sure to check out the entire new release - all available HERE!

And, yay!!! I also get to give this new stamp set, called Love You So to a lucky someone!  Please leave a comment to enter my giveaway!

    Berry Good

Hello!  I've got two cards to share with you today!  I used the new Avery Elle Berry Good stamp set to create both of them.

For my first card, I heat embossed the images in gold to create a custom watercolor paper.   I painted these in rather messy and I love this look!  The little strip along the bottom is washi.

On this card, I stamped the fruit with the new Kraft ink and used the new You're Invited die to create a window.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

    Bee Mine

Hello, Hello!  Are you ready for this weekend?  It is Valentine's day which means I've been making a few cards in preparation.

I used the new Avery Elle Bee Mine stamp set.  I just adore this little $4 mini!

For my first card, I used the stamp and coordinating die cut and centered it on a oval of white cardstock.   Then, I surrounded my oval with leaves and flowers from Avery Elle's Fabulous Florals.
I also hid some bees in with the flowers.   I must say I adore this card. :)

Next, I used the same Bee Mine stamps and put them on a piece of white woodgrain cardstock.   The scalloped border along the bottom is from the Dotted Borders dies

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Valentine's day!

    XOXO!

    #TBT - Happy Spring

Woot woot!  Who doesn't love a little something fun and different?

Today Avery Elle introduces what will be a monthly #TBT pos.  Just incase you don't know what #TBT means - it's throw back thursday.  On the first Thursday of every month, Avery Elle will pull out a stamp set that the Design Team has already had the chance to play with and we're going to play with it again!  Sounds like a fun challenge, right?

This month, we're starting with Happy Spring.

Honestly it's hard for me to pick a favorite image in this set.  I love them all - but that bunny, eek!  I love him so much.

For my #TBT post, I paired the images of Happy Spring with Winter Wreath stamps and dies.  Then, I tucked the eggs in with flowers from Fabulous Florals.   The sideways stitches are from the Avery Elle Finished Frames die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to head to the Avery Elle blog to see what the rest of the DT members came up with!

    Have a great day!
